Billy Idol first achieved fame in the 70's with the Punk Rock band, Generation X. He then embarked on a solo career , in collaboration with Steve Stevens. His wildly popular debut album was "Billy Idol"(1982), he followed up with several more successful albums, "Rebel Yell"(1983), "Whiplash Smile"(1986), "Charmed Life"(1990), "CyberPunk"(1993), "Devils Playground"(2005) and "Kings and Queens of the Underground"(2014)
